Sometimes the loss of a permanent tooth or teeth is the result of advanced age, and other times it’s the result of gum disease or injury.
No matter what the cause, at Apilado Family Dentistry, we know that the loss of a tooth or teeth is very distressing. That is why we offer both partial and full dentures and dental implants so you can feel confident smiling front of your family and friends.
Partial dentures are needed when one or more teeth are lost to disease, extractions, or sudden injury. Partial dentures are only an option when there are at least one or more natural teeth remaining in your mouth. These removable “replacement teeth” are usually attached to pink or gum-colored plastic bases connected by metal framework to hold the partial dentures in place within your mouth.
Full dentures are used when no teeth remain in your mouth. This is most common in cases of advanced age or gum disease. Partial and full dentures can take up to a month to be constructed after we make a mold of your mouth.
